At MVSO, connection extends beyond coursework. As the community continues to grow, MVSO is creating new opportunities for students to build relationships, explore shared interests, and experience a stronger sense of belonging.
Building Community Beyond the Classroom
Consistent teacher touchpoints and meaningful peer interaction remain central to the MVSO experience. Student clubs will provide another way for learners to connect, collaborate, and engage with the school community outside of their academic courses.
Introducing MVSO E-Sports
MVSO is launching its first student club with an E-Sports program led by Nikolai Ibanez, a championship E-Sports coach who also teaches computer science and art in Mount Vernon’s Upper School.
Through the club, students will have opportunities to connect around a shared interest, strengthen teamwork and communication skills, and participate in a competitive and engaging online environment.
Creating New Opportunities for Connection
The launch of E-Sports marks the beginning of expanded student life opportunities at MVSO. As additional clubs and experiences are introduced, students will have more ways to develop friendships, pursue their interests, and contribute to a connected online learning community.
