A new academic year begins with excitement, new opportunities, and an expanding global community. MVSO welcomed returning students, new ACCESS families, and our continuing partners from The Dewey School in Vietnam, strengthening international collaboration and enriching the student experience.
Through this ongoing partnership, students from Vietnam engage in MVSO courses alongside peers in the U.S., participating in real-world projects, collaborative iProjects, and discussions that span time zones and cultures. This sustained connection fosters creativity, global awareness, and the ability to see problems from multiple perspectives, skills essential for the next generation of leaders.
Spotlight on Our Vietnamese Students
Our Vietnamese students bring curiosity, energy, and diverse perspectives to the MVSO community. They actively contribute to discussions, take leadership roles in collaborative projects, and explore personalized learning pathways, from STEM and the arts to global impact initiatives.
One student shared, “Learning with classmates in the U.S. helps me see different ways to approach problems and makes learning feel personal and meaningful.” Their voices continue to enrich the MVSO experience for all students and highlight the value of long-term international partnerships.
Welcoming MVSO + ACCESS Students
This year, we also welcomed new MVSO + ACCESS students, who combine the best of both worlds: rigorous MVSO academics online, alongside access to extracurricular programs on the Mount Vernon School campus in Atlanta, GA. These students participate in clubs, arts, athletics, and other campus experiences, connecting with peers face-to-face while maintaining the flexibility of an online learning path.
One new ACCESS student shared, “Being part of MVSO lets me learn online at my own pace, but coming to campus for clubs and sports makes me feel like I really belong. I love being able to meet friends in person and still follow my own academic path.”
This hybrid model allows students to explore passions, engage in hands-on learning, and build meaningful relationships across both virtual and campus environments—truly embodying MVSO’s commitment to personalized pathways and global learning.
