What if school could make room for what you love? 🎬 Jacob ’26 is a professional actor who didn’t have to choose between pursuing his craft and earning his diploma. At MVSO, he built an education around the life he was already creating, from the classroom to the set. Your passion doesn’t have to wait for school. And school doesn’t have to wait for your passion. #StudentSpotlight
What if school actually gave you space to go deep on what you love?
The iProject is a multi-year research journey; you design it, you own it, starting in Grade 9.
No cookie-cutter topics. Just you, a question, and the mentorship to pursue it. What would you design? What would you create? #studentled #onlineschool #designthinking

For senior Lê Hoàng Minh Ngọc, it became the spark for something bigger.
Through her iProject, she set out to honor her hometown, Hải Dương, ensuring its name and identity are not forgotten. By creating a mung bean cake candy bar inspired by the city, she turned memory into something tangible.
Along the way, she explored finance, built real customer relationships, and began shaping her future as an entrepreneur.
This is what learning can look like when it starts with purpose.
Success in online learning starts with strong habits.
MVSO students develop skills like time management, goal setting, and self direction. These abilities prepare them not just for graduation, but for college and beyond.
